BARRY DILLER BUYS SEARCH ENGINE ASK JEEVES

AdAge: "NEW YORK -- Barry Diller's company IAC/InterActive Corp. has signed a pact to purchase second-tier search engine AskJeeves.com in a stock deal worth $1.85 billion, giving the media mogul and IAC a stake in the most lucrative area of online marketing."

BD has become a very reliable bellweather of where the money will shortly be. And here I mean big-media, mainstream, world-class billions, not the odd mil here and there ... take a look at the IAC portfolio, how it maps right across the online leisure space ...

Oh! and don't forget that this former content king owns, in all that territory, not one jot of content ... pay attention at the back there!

Useful piece to bring you up to speed on benefits (esp ROI and tracking) of online ads.
